Design and Audio

It is a boombox-like speaker built for the outdoors. Given its nature, it obviously comes with a handle to carry around. Despite that, it is not an easy speaker to carry around with a weight of just over three kilos. Adding on to its outdoor theme, it boasts an IPX6 water resistance to handle the weather. Meanwhile, it comes in a single plain and simple black colour but is complete with a generous amount of RGB lighting to give it more personality. Audio-wise, you are getting an output of 60W from the Tronsmart Bang complete with its proprietary SoundPulse technology. This tech allows them to deliver louder output in a more compact form factor without taking a hit to the audio quality. Additionally, this speaker comes with TuneConn Technology — which is like stereo pairing features, but on a steroid. With this, you can sync over 100 — yes over 100 — speakers to get the party vibes going!

Features and Battery

Let's talk features. Firstly, the Tronsmart Bang can establish a connection with your devices via Bluetooth v5.0 as well as NFC. In the meantime, it has an in-built microphone as well allowing you to make and receive calls. It also gives you access to voice assistants on different platforms. It can wirelessly operate within a range of 18 metres from your device. On the other hand, it comes with an AUX port, a MicroSD/TF card and a U-disk (Pendrive) reader for wired connections. The speaker allows you to fine-tune the LEDs and mess around with the equaliser through the Tronsmart App. Talking of the battery, Tronsmart shies away from mentioning the cell capacity on this Bang speaker. However, they claim up to 15 hours of usage when using it regularly. But when you go all out with full volume and LEDs turned on, the playback time drops down to just four hours. Anyway, when you do run the battery dry, it can juice back up with a USB Type-C charger. It supports 10W of charging speed and takes four and a half hours to charge fully. Lastly, if need be, it can double down as a power bank too.
