Design and Display

The Tecno Pova 6 continues to carry the funky gaming vibe from the Pova 6 Pro. In fact, this guy looks quite identical to its Pro sibling. Yes, the same flat middle frame, Glyph interface-like LED strips, and a hole-punch display on the front! And for the ingress protection, the device secures an IP53 rating as well. Talking of the panel, it is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD= resolution. You also get 2160Hz high-frequency dimming and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification here.

Performance

Under the hood, the Pova 6 packs a Helio G99 Ultimate chipset. This 6nm fabbed 4G processor features two Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocking at 2.0GHz. Handling the graphics here is a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. As a gaming phone, you get a 2871.78mm² VC heatsink and 1700W graphite thermal conductivity to keep the thermals in check. Plus some gaming-centric features from the Game Space 4.0! In terms of memory and storage, this phone is available with 8/12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Likewise, on the software side, booting the Pova 6 is Tecno’s HiOS 14 based on Android 14.

Camera

Getting to the optics, the smartphone houses a dual camera setup. It is headlined by a 108MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth-sensing unit. Upfront, there is a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls. Both the main and selfie cameras are only capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps.

Battery, Charging, and Others

Fueling the Pova 6 is a sizeable 6,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging support. Thankfully, Tecno also ships a compatible 70W charger in the box. For connectivity, the phone supports 4G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. Moreover, you get an in-display optical fingerprint scanner for biometrics security.
