Design and Display

Beginning with the design, the Oppo Reno 12 F goes for a flat frame body with a hole-punch cutout display. The rear panel gets a glossy finish in the Olive Green shade while the Amber Orange variant bears an attractive wave-like pattern. And the circular camera module gets a bit of a fancy treatment with Halo Light. Oppo calls it the Cosmos Ring design, inspired by luxury watches. Meanwhile, you get an IP64 rating against dust and water damage. Upfront, there is a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. An AGC DT-Star2 glass is also present for added protection. Moreover, the phone has a wet touch feature, allowing you to use it even when your hands are wet.

Performance

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 685. Oppo has paired the chip with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Likewise, the smartphone boots Oppo’s ColorOS 14.1, built on top of Android 14.

AI Features

The primary highlight of the Reno 12 F is its AI features. With AI Eraser 2.0, you can erase unwanted objects and people in the background with ease. And the AI LinkBoost feature is ensured to provide a seamless and steady connection even in weak network environments, thanks to the 360-degree surrounding antenna design.

Make calls using Bluetooth

Another interesting thing about this phone is the BeaconLink feature. This technology allows phone calls using Bluetooth, without the use of a mobile signal or internet. Turning this feature one can make calls within 200 metres.

Camera and Battery

In terms of optics, there is a triple-camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary shooter, 8MP ultrawide (112° FOV), and a 2MP macro unit. Moreover, there is a 32MP snapper upfront for taking selfies and video calls. Fueling the phone is a 5000mAh battery paired with 45W of fast charging. Connectivity features include 5G, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Moreover, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics security.
