Design and Display

The Oppo Reno 12 has a thickness of 7.25gmam and weighs only 179 grams, falling into the lightweight category. Simply on the design side, the smartphone comes in three colors, with both glass on the front on the back with plastic frames. Moreover, the Reno 12 is also IP65-rated for dust and water protection.On the display front, you get a nice 6.7-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone can achieve a peak brightness of 1200 nits and also supports HDR10+. Moreover, it has a resolution of 2412*1080 with 394 ppi. Similarly, it also comes with an in-screen fingerprint scanner and Corning Glass 7i glass protection.

Camera and Battery

The Oppo Reno 12 features a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS support, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro unit. Unlike its sibling, it doesn’t feature a 50MP 2X telephoto camera. Meanwhile, for selfies and video support, you also get a 32MP front camera with autofocus. Fueling the phone is a 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.

Performance and Storage

While, the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro were powered by the Dimensity 8200 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipsets respectively, the Reno 12 runs on the newly unveiled Dimensity 7300 processor. It is an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A78 cores at up to 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz.  It is accompanied by LPPDDR5X memory up to 12GB and UFS 3.1 storage up to 256GB.
