Design and Display

The Oppo A3x is available in two colours: Ocean Blue with wavy patterns and Nebula Red with a plain finish. It offers durability with its IP54 rating, protecting the phone from water splashes and spills. Additionally, the company says the phone can resist exposure to other liquids too, such as tea, and soup. Moreover, it passed the MIL-STD-810H test for shock resistance and received a five-star rating from SGS. The device features a 6.67-inch LCD screen, reinforced with Panda glass for added protection. The display supports HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Additionally, the screen covers 83% of the NTSC colour gamut with a colour depth of 16.7 million. As such, the Oppo A3x offers a good viewing experience and visibility indoors as well as in bright outdoor conditions. It also includes the “Splash Touch” feature, allowing seamless use with wet hands.

Performance and Camera

The Oppo A3x runs on the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 1 chipset, which is basically a renamed Snapdragon 662. Furthermore, it comes with either 64GB or 128GB of storage, expandable via a MicroSD card, and includes 4GB of RAM with an option for virtual expansion. In terms of battery, it is equipped with a 5,100 mAh unit, which supports 45W SUPERVOOC 2.0 fast charging. It can reach 50% charge in just 30 minutes, providing quick power boosts when needed. Additionally, the battery is built to retain 80% of its original capacity even after four years, ensuring long-term reliability. On the back, the Oppo A3x houses an 8MP camera, along with a flicker sensor to capture flicker-free images—especially useful when photographing lights or moving water. For selfies, it features a 5MP front camera.
