      JBL Go Essential Overview

      Design

Go Essential is no different than every other Go speaker from JBL, be it Go or Go 2. However, Go 3 is a bit different. The rectangular design has rounded corners and flat sides. One side contains all the button controls, while the other has ports.
      JBL Go Essential waterproof
As these are portable speakers, mobility matters. Hence, these are small, measuring 86.0×71.2×31.6 mm; and also lightweight (180g). Besides, the IPX7 rating protects the speaker from many scenarios regarding water damage. JBL Go Essential arrives in three colors: Red, Black, and Blue.

      Audio and Connectivity

Furthermore, Go Essential outputs 3.1W RMS and reproduces a frequency range from 180Hz to 20kHz. Additionally, JBL's signature tuning/Original Pro Sound technology is something to look into. As for the connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2 is present, a slightly older version for its release date. Plus, there is no app support for Go Essential.

      Battery

On battery, a 730mAh cell powers the JBL Go Essential and is charged by 5W charging. On a single charge, it lasts for 5 hours of playtime. Using the micro-USB cable in the box, fully charging the speaker takes approximately 2.5 hours.
