      Huawei FreeBuds 4 Overview:

Here's a brief synopsis of the Huawei FreeBuds 4:

      Design

Huawei's FreeBuds 4, although not free, features a half-in-ear design. They individually weigh around 4.1 g plus the charging case adds 38 g of weight you need to carry. The earpieces can be controlled with swipes on the stem. Moreover, there are two color options: Ceramic White and Silver Frost.

      Sound

A vast 14.3 mm LCP sound driver is where the audio comes from in the FreeBuds 4. These dynamic drivers can produce a maximum of 40 kHz, which lets you hear the highest treble. And for the lows, a separate bass-enhancing power engine is provided. These wearables provide reduced latency with audio codecs, to around 90 ms on Harmony OS 2 devices and 150 ms on EMUI phones.

      Noise Canceling

This TWS is powered by "Open-fit Active Noise Cancellation 2.0." This promises better active noise cancellation than other open-fit earbuds, as ANC has been a topic of concern with open-fit buds. These buds use two microphones—one feed-forward and one feed-backward—to attain such ANC. Additionally, Surroundings Mode (transparency or ambient mode) is provided by the Huawei FreeBuds 4, which helps listen to the sounds of the surroundings.

      Battery

With noise cancellation disabled, the 30 mAh battery in Huawei's FreeBuds 4 can supply 4 hours of playback. And with the 410 mAh battery in the case, it goes for around a day (22 hours to be exact) of playback. This playtime drops when ANC comes into play. The buds last for 2.5 hours, and with the case, it runs for 14 hours. Both the earpieces and the case charge in 1 hour.

      Rest of the specs

Other features include Bluetooth 5.2 support, additional support for multi connection with two devices, and a pop-up pair that requires smartphones running EMUI 10 or above. Additionally, the FreeBuds 4 can detect whether you are wearing the device or not.
