      Nikon Zf Overview

      Design and Build

      Nikon Zf Design

Styled closely after the Nikon FM2, the Zf features dedicated physical dials for ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation. It uses a primarily magnesium alloy body with dust and drip resistance. A 3.68M-dot EVF with 0.8x magnification and a 2.1M-dot fully articulated touchscreen enhance usability, while the classic design is complemented by a rugged build.

      Key Features

The Nikon Zf is powered by a 24MP BSI CMOS sensor combined with the latest Expeed 7 processor. It offers in-body image stabilization (IBIS) rated up to 8EV, enabling sharp images even in challenging conditions. The autofocus system supports tracking and recognition of nine subject types, with performance improvements over the Z6 II.

In terms of burst shooting, the Zf can shoot up to 14fps with JPEGs and 11fps with RAW files. A special 30fps C30 JPEG-only mode with pre-burst capability is also included.

For video creators, the camera records 4K/30p video oversampled from 6K and supports 4K/60p with an APS-C crop. It features 10-bit internal recording with N-Log and HLG options, plus a 32-shot high-resolution mode that produces 96MP images.

The camera offers dual card slots—one for SD cards and another for MicroSD. However, the MicroSD slot supports only UHS-I speeds, which may limit performance in certain cases.
