Moondrop Rays Gaming Earbuds Overview
USB-C connection
One of the striking features of the Moondrop Rays Gaming earbuds is that they feature a wired USB-C connection. Although this is not a new thing, many smartphone companies have slowly removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from their smartphones, audio companies have shifted towards a type-C connection instead. As a result, it does not include any 3.5mm or 4.4mm jack. The earbuds support latency under 5ms. Compared to typical wireless earbuds, which have around 50ms, this is significantly lower.
Audio driver setup
It uses a hybrid system combining dynamic and planar magnetic drivers. The frequency response ranges from 7Hz to 39kHz. The default sound is neutral and users can adjust EQ through the Moondrop app. The app includes preset profiles for more than 20 games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and CS:GO.
