iQOO U1x with Snapdragon 662 launched at an affordable price

iQOO is known for its premium lineup of gaming smartphones. However, for quite some time now, they are trying to ship some much affordable gaming phones. For instance, in July, we saw the company launch iQOO U1. This was iQOO's cheapest smartphone. And now, they have launched a much affordable version of the iQOO U1 itself. The device is aptly named as the iQOO U1x. Being an affordable version of a device, the U1x does compromise on a few fronts. So, let's find out what the iQOO U1x compromises on in comparison to U1 and also look at its expected price in Nepal.

iQOO U1x Overview

This device comes with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution. Now, the U1 has a 6.53-inch screen with FHD+ resolution. So, a marginal difference in the display itself. Anyway, U1x's display has an aspect ratio of 20:9, 89% screen-to-body ratio, and 269ppi pixel density. The side bezels are thin, however, it has quite a considerable chin. There's a waterdrop-notch upfront. And it houses an 8MP selfie shooter. The back is a plastic panel and the design seems like the camera module is shooting rays. As for the camera module itself, it is a triple camera setup. It has a 13MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Under the hood, iQOO U1x runs on Snapdragon 662 SoC. In contrast, the iQOO U1 sported a much powerful Snapdragon 720G chipset. The RAM options on the U1x are 4GB and 6GB. Similarly, the storage options are 64GB and 128GB. Inside, there's a huge 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. However, it charges over the dated micro USB port. Finally, as the device was launched initially in China, it does not have Google Services. However, it does come with Vivo's Jovi AI assistant.

iQOO U1x Price in Nepal and Availability

iQOO U1x is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale from November 1, with a starting price of CNY 899. For now, iQOO has been tight-lipped about the phone's international availability. We expect the price of iQOO U1x to start at NPR 17,000 if and when it launches in Nepal.
