Huawei has launched its new Pura 80 Series in China, which includes the standard Pura 80, the Pura 80 Pro, and the Pura 80 Pro+. While only the Pro and Pro+ models are available for purchase now, the standard variant is expected to go on sale soon. Huawei Pura 80 Series Overview
Display
The Pura 80 features a 6.6-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 1,256 × 2,760 pixels. The Pro and Pro+ models offer a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with quad-curved glass that appears flat. In addition, all models include adaptive refresh (1–120Hz), 10-bit color depth, and second-generation Kunlun Glass. All phones in the series have IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring water submersion protection and resistance against high-temperature water jets.
Battery and Charging
Huawei Pura 80 includes a 5,600mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The Pro and Pro+ models pack a slightly larger 5,700mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
Performance and Storage
Huawei hasn’t disclosed the chip used in any of the models. The Pro and Pro+ variants come with the “Ark Engine,” claimed to be 36% faster than their predecessors.
Additionally, the Pura 80 and 80 Pro come with 12GB RAM and offer storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The Pura 80 Pro+ increases RAM to 16GB and offers 512GB and 1TB storage only.
Camera Setup
The standard Pura 80 houses a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture, a 12MP periscope lens offering 5.5x zoom, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 1.5MP spectrum sensor.
Both Pro models use a 50MP 1-inch sensor with variable aperture, a 48MP telephoto lens with tele-macro support, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, and the same 1.5MP spectrum sensor.
All models have a 13MP front camera with autofocus.

Satellite Communication
The Pura 80 and 80 Pro support Beidou satellite messaging with two-way communication and emergency alerts. Meanwhile, the Pura 80 Pro+ supports dual satellite systems (Beidou and Tiantong), and it does not require manual alignment for connectivity.
All models feature Wi-Fi 7 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 with LDAC and L2HC, NFC, and NearLink (Huawei’s Bluetooth alternative).
