The Honor 400 Pro and the 200 Pro were bangers of semi-flagship devices. Perhaps some of the best phones you could buy in Nepal are under 90k. Now, the Chinese company is preparing for a new iteration of this premium series, i.e., Honor 500 Pro. While it hasn’t launched yet, recent leaks have outlined most of its specifications and camera setup. Now, let’s jump into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Honor 500 Pro, including its rumours, specifications, and availability.

      Honor 500 Pro Overview

      Display and Design

      undefined

Starting with its appearance, it looks likely that the phone isn't getting massive changes to its design (build), but the camera layout seems to be getting major changes, for better or worse, a horizontal camera module. The new leaks suggest the Honor 500 Pro will feature a slightly smaller OLED display, compared to the 400 Pro at 6.55 inches with a 2736 × 1264 pixels resolution. It’s also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate. Honor has already revealed the colour options: Aquamarine, Starlight Powder, Obsidian Black, and Moonlight Silver.

      Performance and Software

Following what they have historically done in the Pro series, it is quite safe to say that the phone will run on none other than last year's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. And being serious, the chipset is absolutely a powerhouse in gaming, video editing, and quite literally anything one could attempt from a smartphone. On the software side, it’s expected to ship with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. Similarly, the storage variants will include 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB.

      Camera and Battery

According to leaks, the primary camera could feature a 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor. It may be paired with a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 117-degree field of view. The front camera hasn’t been confirmed yet, but earlier reports point to a 50MP shooter. For the battery, Honor appears to be going big, as expected from Chinese smartphones. Rumours mention an 8000mAh silicon-based unit with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging

Other expected features include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Honor’s C1+ RF enhancement chip, and an E2 power-efficiency chip designed to reduce power consumption.
