Last year, Dyson brought something unique to the wearables game: air-purifying, noise-canceling headphones. Although it garnered a ton of buzz, the idea was ultimately impractical and failed, but the company seems to want a retry. In this article, we'll explore the new Dyson OnTrace headphones and what makes them special from the rest.
The main selling point of OnTrac is its customizable feature with replaceable ear cushions and outer caps, offering over 2,000 color combinations. The form factor looks similar to Zone but without the air purification visor.
Dyson provides a foldable carrying case with the OnTrac headphones, but it offers limited protection and can easily let in water or dirt. They claim to deliver "best-in-class" noise cancellation using an eight-microphone system.
Dyson’s New OnTrac Headphones: Overview
Dyson Zone combined features of noise-canceling headphones with a wearable air purifier but it couldn’t perform as well in the market. It was weird-looking, heavy-weight, and ultimately NOT what the average person wanted to be wearing. The company has now announced its second series of headphones- OnTrac. These headphones represent Dyson's attempt to establish itself in the premium headphones market with a more grounded concept: customizable headphones.

Dyson OnTrac Specifications:
- Base Colors: CNC Aluminum, CNC Copper, Ceramic Cinnabar, and CNC Black Nickel.

Dyson OnTrac: Hit or another flop?
Well, Dyson Zone launched with an inbuilt air purifier which would have been a cool option if the headphones didn't ...flop. That being said, the OnTrac does look like it has good potential to be both fun and successful.- Also read:
