MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ launched with minor upgrade

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ is now official, bringing a few key improvements over the previous Dimensity 9400. While the CPU has received a slight clock speed boost, the main upgrades are in the AI performance. Improved CPU Performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ features a CPU with a new ARM Cortex-X925 core, now clocked at 3.73 GHz, offering a slight performance boost over the previous 9400, which was clocked at 3.63 GHz. The rest of the CPU setup remains the same, including three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores.

AI and NPU Enhancements

One of the key updates in the Dimensity 9400+ is the improved NPU 890, which brings 20% faster agentic AI performance. This new AI unit includes Speculative Decoding+, making it more suitable for AI-driven applications.

Camera and Video Features

The Dimensity 9400+ continues to support a 320 MP camera sensor and 8K video recording at 60 fps. It also supports 10-bit video decoding for a range of video formats, ensuring high-quality media experiences.
