Design and Display

The Zenbook lineup from Asus is the perfect blend between compact lightweight form factor and reliability. And the new Zenbook 15 OLED (2023) is no exception. At just 14.9mm thick and weighing a mere 1.4 kg, it is designed for those on the move. Zenbook 15 comes with a plasma and a ceramic lid which looks quite unique. The laptop is available in attractive Basalt Gray and Ponder Blue color options.  Moving on to the display, you get a gorgeous 15.6-inch OLED display of 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1620). However, it misses out on the taller 16:10 aspect ratio, instead leaning for 16:9.  The 120Hz refresh rate panel comes with an impressive 0.2 response time. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and can hit 600 nits of peak HDR brightness. The panel is also Display HDR True Black 600 certified on top of being PANTONE validated. 

Performance

Under the hood, the Zenbook 15 2023 features Zen 3-based 7000 series AMD processors. You can configure it with either the Ryzen 5 7535U or the Ryzen 7 7735U CPU. Right now, the latter made it to Nepal with 8 Cores, 16 Threads, and base/ boost clock speeds of 2.7 GHz and 4.75 GHz respectively. The integrated Radeon graphics handles the GPU workload.  Complementing the CPU, you get 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM alongside a TerraByte of Gen 4 SSD.

Connectivity and Extras 

On the connectivity side of things, you get 2 USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports with PD support. Besides that, there’s a single USB-A port, an HDMI port, and a Micro SD card reader. You also get a 3.5mm jack for your audio needs. For wireless connections, you get a single stream (1*1) WiFi 6E setup alongside Bluetooth 5.3.

Fueling the Zenbook 15 (2023) is a 67Wh 4-cell Lithium Ion battery that can be charged via the included 65W Type-C adapter. The laptop also features an FHD camera with Windows Hello support, a backlight keyboard, and Harman/Kardon-certified Dolby Atoms stereo speakers.
