1. Apple Watch SE (2022)
Here, Apple Watch SE (2022) is currently the most affordable option in Apple’s smartwatch portfolio in Nepal. It’s the 2nd generation of SE, but it isn’t that different from its predecessor. It still sports the same squarish design along with the digital crown and a side button on the right frame.
As usual, the watch case is made from 100% recycled aluminum. But Apple has reworked to make the chassis marginally lighter, which is about 10% less than the first-gen Watch SE.
Much like the design, the display side of things remains the same too. That is it's a Retina LTPO OLED screen with up to 1000 nits of brightness. And Apple has employed Ion-X glass on top of the screen. It has also secured the necessary rating to wear it out in the rain or in the shower.
Moreover, the smartwatch is powered by the Apple S8 chip that’s also used in the Series 8. And like the latter, the Watch SE (2022) can also detect car crashes and connect you to emergency services or emergency contacts. It doesn’t miss out on all health-tracking features either. As for the battery life, it is claimed to deliver 18 hours of usage.

Let's now get into the Apple Watch Series 7. Expectations were quite big on this one as initial rumors and leaks hinted at a substantial upgrade for the first time in years. However, it was later revealed to be just another incremental upgrade in the Watch Series lineup.
Apple Watch Series brings a new Always-On Retina display with almost 20% more screen real estate than its predecessor. Apple reduced the bezels to a minimum and added more curvature at the corners for a more immersive experience. Likewise, it can also get up to 70% brighter than its predecessor.
Apple has also fine-tuned the watchOS software to go with the new screen. This includes a customized watch interface and even exclusive watch faces. Watch Series 7 is also the first in the series to have IP6X dust resistance on top of the usual 50ATM water resistance.

Battery Life: Up to 18 hours of battery life

Chipset: Apple S7 with 64-bit dual-core processor; W3 Apple wireless chip; U1 chip
The Watch Series 8 is Apple’s last-gen top-tier smartwatch in the Watch Series lineup. Although there’s not much of a difference between it and its predecessor in terms of design, display, or even battery life. But it comes with the S8 chip that apparently offers 20% more performance than the S7 chip on the Series 7. It also has the W3 wireless and the U1 ultra wideband chip.
Moreover, the notable upgrade on this guy from the previous generation is its support for car-crash detection. For this, it uses a built-in gyroscope, high dynamic range accelerometer, barometer, GPS, microphone, and Apple’s advanced sensor-fusion algorithm.
Other new additions are two new temperature sensors with which the smartwatch can give a deeper insight into your sleep cycles by analyzing the overall body temperature throughout the night. According to Apple, it can detect temperature changes as low as 0.1°C. Besides sleep, these temperature sensors also play a big role in curating and predicting women’s menstrual cycles.

The Watch Series 9 is the long-anticipated smartwatch from Apple, which is finally official in Nepal. In terms of design, you don't see major alterations. It is still encased in a square-shaped chassis in 41mm and 45mm in either aluminum or stainless steel cases.
You get a 1.69 or 1.9-inch curved Retina OLED display with AOD and 2000nits of peak brightness. the aluminum version gets an Ion-X glass while the stainless steel model goes with a sapphire crystal glass protection.
The key USP of the Series 9 has to be the new S9 SiP (System in Package) chip based on Apple A15 Bionic silicon. It has 5.6 billion transistors, 60% more than the S8. As for the health tracking features, you get blood oxygen, temperature, ECG, heart rate alerts, irregular rhythm detection, and low cardio alerts, ensuring health tracking and timely warnings.
The Watch Series 10 brings several upgrades to Apple's smartwatch lineup, focusing on health, convenience, and performance. It has a larger and brighter edge-to-edge display, making it easier to see in bright sunlight. The slimmer bezels contribute to a more immersive viewing experience. The Series 10 features an upgraded processor, offering faster performance and efficiency compared to previous models, allowing apps and features to run more smoothly and conserve battery.
One of the standout features is the new double-tap gesture. By tapping your index finger and thumb together, you can answer calls, open widgets, and more without touching the watch screen, which is convenient for hands-free control. The Series 10 continues to focus on health features, including heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood oxygen monitoring, and the latest enhancements in tracking metrics like sleep and activity.
With improvements in power efficiency, it generally provides all-day battery life, even with intensive use of features like GPS and workout tracking. Running on the latest watchOS, the Series 10 supports all the newest features Apple has introduced, including an improved widget experience and deeper customization options.
